automated testing

On the flight from Dusseldorf, I was reading a book given to me by my friend FCHouse.com about PHP Unit automated testing suite. Well, ages ago from how 99% of the common developers usually code in php. Even ages ago from how every big company developes its own software internally. basically the big problem of that type of approach is the time to market. That stuff could work in a bank, or in a company like Boeing, but not in company where projects born and die every 6 months. Or even in an year. I have to find out, as soon as I catch FCHouse.com again, how to introduce this without affecting too much the standard way of working of the developers, or at least, how to let them accept this way of working. If it is not accepted by every shareholder, it is useless, even dangerous for the project itself.
