I do agree with this.
Unfortunately in most of the cases I come across, if you let an employee a self directed work, he will tend to do whatever he want regardless to achieve the real scheduled objective.
And at the end of the working day, when you point out that he is going in the wrong direction, he gets offended and his work is demotivated.
Maybe this video apply only in a real competitive and open job market like US or India 😀
@Dr.House: it does not work either in a corporation… that video is nice but it is missing a lot of prerequisites… like “having proactive workers”, “having people aware of the business needs” and “having people willing to learn and improve themselfs”
