Nokia & Microsoft

Grief and disbelief greet Elop’s Nokia revolution

Dear Stephen Elop,
I’m a life long Nokia customer (7-8 phones in my family) currently
owning an X6 and an Ovi Store developer with an almost ready Qt
application.
I think you are dooming Nokia to bankruptcy.
It seems that you’re dumping all the core software assets of Nokia:
Symbian, Qt, expertize in Linux and many others.
Personally I was planning to buy in few months an N9 for me and a C7 for
my wife.
Now I will sell my X6 and buy two Android phones.
I heard of dozens of people like me planning to buy Nokia that now will
buy Android or Bada.
I repeat, I think you’re killing Nokia.

p.s. twittate… ogni giorno i vostri commenti riguardo a #nokia, #ovi, #ovimaps, vengono stampati e attaccati in giro per l’azienda… sia quelli positivi, ma soprattutto quelli negativi… fatevi sentire!

  1. It’s the worst news I’ve heard recently and it will have a strong impact on the embedded market too.
But the question that concerns me most is what will be the future of Qt software I guess it will be engulfed by MS visyual studio and MFC.
Last year I was very attracted by Maemo/Meego and N900 but I waited to see the future of Nokia products because I hate the obsolete Symbian stuff, and luckily I didn’t buy a N900 because I preferred a Archos5IT with Android (sigh).
I’ll never buy a Nokia product!

  2. Ciao Guido,
Oltre allo scontato: “noooooooooooooooooo!!!”😦
    Boh, il tempo ci dirà.
    Tienici informati e buona fortuna!
