Awaken, finally. Slept like a stone! The 6hours jet lag & the events to catch the flight taught me down in a solid sleeping… it’s 8p.m. german time, here is 2p.m. and I had a shower and a rich breakfast. The hamburger and fries I left yesterday eve, after Marco&Manu got me at the airport, was massive (basically I left behind 90% of it and I finished this monring, after putting it in the oven). The idea for the afternoon is too look around in the MIT campus, have a coffee, and then go to start “The Freedom Trail“, as suggested by my friends and as well by thier reference website “Spouses and Partners @ MIT”

p.s. yesterday I was upgraded in Business Class, for free, by Lufthansa… 😀

FON network, and credit cards

k, I’m at FRA airport waiting for my flight, after a day spent in Frankfurt city… madness… my credit card has been blocked due to the credit card transaction service used by the FONera network. Those geniuses of Click&Buy they have triggered a security lock procedure from MasterCard cause they didn’t properly handled the transaction protocol. There seems to be a data exchange which says “yes, the customer is in front of me, with the credit card and a valid passport”. I do not know how this should work for an internet transaction, where it is only me, my laptop and my credit card… but those guys have locked my credit card, and this was the explanation from DeutscheBank.

Paralles4.0 & Mac OSX Snow Leopard

If u are a corporate user, DO NOT BUY IT!

I just upgraded to Snow Leopart, everything is fine, the VPN IPSEC to my company works straight forward. Even the WPA2 Enterprise with 802.1x WPA authentication layer, perfect.

Than I installed Parallels Desktop 4.0 … and none of them was working anymore.

I called the service desk in Germany at +49 (89) 450 80 86 – 0, and they kindly told me to call the support in the US, spending other whatever money/minute to have the support. Or send an email… yeah, to a trash bin call center that will never answer.

Solution? I will reinstall my laptop, and trash Parallels, asking then the moneyback.
