what about software?

I’ve been following courses at my university about software engineering… but seeing what is happening on the work daily base… well, there is a huge difference. Particularly when your target is the internet. Scalability is not only a so called “non functional requirement”, it is a key feature that can lead the whole business case of your project to miserably fail.

I’ve been in charge of the load and performance testing activities, of different software projects, for the last 2 years and a half… plus I’ve been working as technical architect as well in the mean time, getting nagios and the online probing of mobile internet services to a new level. I’m going to change company in the next 2 weeks. Excited and positively scared about the new upcoming challenges. Stay tuned. 🙂

moving to Berlin

k… I’m getting mad on ImmobilienScout24.de to find a flat I like

even worse, is to make the choise on where to stay… here is a map of Berlin with my points of interest

AREA 1, “Wedding” and “Prenzlauer Berg“, is next to the office and the brother of a very old friend of mine.

AREA 2, “Kreuzberg“, is a poshy expensive one, also cause it has most of the historical places of Berlin

AREA 3, “Tiergarten“, is the university area, to save time travelling might be a good idea to stay there if I want to do evening courses at TU-Berlin …

…and at last but not least… I need a Starbucks on my way to the office 🙂

p.s. nascevo di li a poco… questo e’ un pezzo di storia di cui non sapevo e di cui i miei non mi avevano mai parlato… Marcia dei quarantamila (Paolini la cita come la “marcia dei colletti bianchi” ) …quanto siamo andati indietro …e come ci siamo fottuti qualsiasi retribuzione per ruoli d’alto livello in Italia… a meno che non arrivino da appoggi politici
